Tan Kay Pau, a Malaysian male, is our Acting Group Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for overseeing the group’s operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across our organization.
He graduated with a Bachelor of International Business from the University of Hertfordshire and INTI International University & Colleges in 2012. He furthered his studies and obtained a Master of Arts in Management Studies, specializing in International Public Health from the University of Hertfordshire in 2015. Concurrently, he also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from INTI International University & Colleges in 2015.
He began his career at ALPS Medical Centre as a Senior Executive, Operations in August 2017. He was quickly promoted to Operations Manager in January 2018, demonstrating his aptitude for healthcare management. During his tenure, he was responsible for overseeing daily operations and implementing efficiency improvements. He left the company in June 2018.
In July 2018, he joined ALPS Global Holding Berhad as Manager, Group CEO Office. Over the next two years, he progressed through various roles including Manager of Group CEO and Business Development, Manager of Group CEO Office, Business Development, Customer Relations and Marketing, and finally to Senior Vice President, Group Investments and Operations. In these roles, he was instrumental in driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and overseeing key operational initiatives. He left the company in November 2020.
In February 2021, he joined UCSI Hospital as Head of Marketing. He was promoted to Director of Marketing in November 2021 and then to Director, Business Development and Regulatory Affairs in November 2022. During his tenure, he led a team of 17 employees, driving business growth and increasing profitability through strategic planning and innovative customer-centric initiatives. He achieved significant improvements in revenue, international patient load, and customer satisfaction. He also led the regulatory affairs team in submissions and inspections for various local authorities. He left the hospital in August 2023.
In September 2023, he joined Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council as Vice President, Business Sustainability. In this role, he was responsible for developing business sustainability strategies, identifying new revenue streams, and managing key stakeholders to drive industry growth. He left the council in January 2024.
In January 2024, he joined Alpha IVF Group as Group Chief Marketing Officer, where he was responsible for setting the direction to position the company as the preferred choice for fertility treatment services. He oversaw the development and implementation of marketing strategies, both online and offline, to achieve business objectives.
